Our Christ-Centered Christmas

Hi there,

It is Courageous Carrot (Mommy) finally taking a moment to write as well. 🙂 December 1st, we began a beautiful journey of preparing for our Christmas this year. I thought I would just share as it has been a wonderful thing for our family. As we prepare for this beautiful day of Christmas, we found a wonderful book called, Unwrapping The Greatest Gift, by Ann Voskamp. It is a family devotional book that goes along with the Jesse Tree. This is a beautiful way to engage in the stories in the bible that connect us to our greater family tree. 🙂 We are loving the book and each of the kids are taking turns at making ornaments for each day’s bible reading. We have a small Christmas tree that they place the ornament on at dinner. It has been a great way for our family to embrace a more Christ-Centered Christmas. This year we are doing things a bit differently and celebrating our gift giving part of Christmas this weekend with the celebration of Saint Nicholas Day. This will allow our family to look forward to the celebration of Jesus’ Birth on the 25th and give us a way to really enjoy Christmas in a very special way celebrating our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Many blessings to all of you and prayers too!

Good night for now….

Courageous Carrot (Mommy)
